Positive: Excellent location at the foot of the Melk Abbey in the town center. Very friendly and helpful owners and staff showed us the many opportunities around the area including the best way to visit the Abbey. The breakfast was a great selection of quality items and good coffee to start your day off right.

Positive: Location right in main centre. Easy walk to the Danube. Asked for a kettle and cups which they provided. Car parking in secure park behind the accommodation. Being able to sit out on the terrace.

Negative: The communication with the hotel prior to our visit. On four occasions I made email contact through Booking.com (send messsge to accommodation). All four times no return response. Called Booking. Com and they tried contacting the hotel, also with no response. Made a phone call from Australia to the hotel,where they answered and said they would message me, but they never did. Very frustrating and disappointing.

Summary: The hotel needs to improve their communication with prospective guests.
